Abstract

As I have been working since three years in G?ttingen on CLIO in or;!-: to adapt it to sverai series of germ?n, dutch and french sources(i), we decided with Manfred Thaller and the CNUSC (Centre National Universitaire Sud Cal cul) to implement this program on the IBM machines of the CNUSC in Montpel lier. As we needed an informatic structure in order to receive immediately the program CLIO from the Max-Planck-Institut f?r Geschichte, we founded the association IRHIS (Institut de Recherche Historique par l'Informatique et la Statistique) in June 1985 which has been integrated as EDP-unit in the Commission R?gionale d'Histoire de la R?volution Fran?aise: Languedoc Roussilon.
