Although there is growing evidence demonstrating a tight connection between exercise intensity training domain and changes in cardiorespiratory fitness, it is still unclear whether intensity domains also influence the vascular adaptations that contribute to this improvement in fitness, and whether males and females respond similarly. Herein, we show that peripheral vascular adaptations associated with changes in cardiorespiratory fitness are impacted by sex and the exercise intensity domain.
