Abstract

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of a surface film of plutonium dioxide, PuO2, on plutonium sesquioxide, Pu2O3, grown on a δ-Pu-Ga alloy substrate from Langmuir exposure to oxygen has been measured using an achromatic Mg Kα source (1253.6 eV). Survey data and high resolution scans of the prominent plutonium and oxygen core levels are presented.
