The initial purpose of this paper is to introduce a list of peer-reviewed physical education journals from the sovereign states where Arabic is an official language. Following this, the paper reviews physical education articles published in these journals over the past two years. These results are then compared to the topics covered in reviews from leading English-language sport pedagogy journals. This endeavor is motivated by the tendency of English-language reviews to exclude research published in languages other than English. While there are notable differences in the diversity of topics between the English reviews and the Arabic papers, there is enough evidence in the 45 reviewed papers to warrant their consideration for inclusion in at least scoping reviews. Consequently, we argue that to provide a more global perspective in literature reviews, the criterion of “studies written in the English language” should be entirely eliminated.
