Abstract

In this paper, we present several new passivity-type criteria for the L <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> -stability and L <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> -instability of large-scale interconnected systems. These results contain the standard "single-loop" passivity results as special cases, and are in some ways simpler to apply than the large-scale results found elsewhere.
