The above article, published online on 08 December 2024 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the journal Editor-in-Chief, Hugo Lagercrantz; Foundation Acta Paediatrica; and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. The Commission on Research Integrity at Oslo University Hospital, Akershus University Hospital and Department of Clinical Medicine at the Medical Faculty University of Oslo determined through an official investigation that the research reported in this article did not receive appropriate approvals from a Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics (REK) and that proper informed consent procedures were not followed. The Commission on Research Integrity therefore recommended that this article should be retracted. Based on this determination, all parties agree that the article should be retracted. All authors were notified about the retraction.
