Abstract

Iteaphilidae (Diptera, Empidoidea) is recorded from the Iberian Peninsula for the first time, with the description of a new species of Paraiteaphila Sinclair & Shamshev, 2021, P. petrella sp. nov ., from Portugal. Information on the flowering plant genera visited by this species is also provided.
