Abstract

The aim of this article is to present the results of research on the military organization planned by Germany for the Baltic states within the new defense system of its eastern border. First, the general views of the German military decision-makers on the importance of the Baltic states within the entire system are presented, including annexation plans. The next topic regards Germany’s plans to expand its strategic railway network in the east. The final aspect concerns the planned military organization of the Baltic states, including, in particular, the content of the military conventions that Germany intended to impose.
