In their study of families with mixed racial and ethnic backgrounds, Liebler & Song make significant contributions to our understanding of identity processes, spousal choice, and child-rearing. Using demographic and interview data paired with spatial context data, they lay out a complex portrait. In this commentary, I discuss key findings and limitations of this important contribution to the field.
