Abstract

Divergent gold-catalyzed cycloisomerizations of o -cyclopropylidenemethyl- o ′-alkynylbiaryls give access to two distinct polycyclic scaffolds containing a tricyclic bridgehead carbon center, with selectivity controlled by temperature.
