Abstract

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Disease Models & Mechanisms, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Victor Tapia is first author on ‘ The role of 25-hydroxycholesterol in the pathophysiology of brain vessel dysfunction associated with infection and cholesterol dysregulation’, published in DMM. Victor is a postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Catherine Lawrence and Paul Kasher at The University of Manchester, Manchester, UK, investigating the causes and neuroprotective mechanisms of intracerebral haemorrhage using in vitro and animal experimental models.
