Abstract

Conjugation of SAHA (vorinostat), a clinically used pan-HDAC inhibitor, to organometallic scaffolds based on 8-hydoxyquinoline gave potent anticancer agents. The nature of the ligand determined the HDAC inhibitory activity of the compounds.
