Abstract

Copper-catalyzed C–H chalcogenylation of xanthines with diaryl dichalcogenides affords novel hybrids; electron-withdrawing groups enhance reactivity, and selected compounds show strong DNA intercalation with favorable ADME/Tox profiles.
