Abstract

Would you be more likely to donate your kidney now if you knew that your family would be guaranteed a live donor transplant, if they developed renal failure even if it were years later? The answer to that question for most people is clearly “Yes.”1 That is the principle behind voucher donation, a form of kidney paired donation (KPD).
