Abstract

This paper explores the trends and dynamics of research in the digital transformation field from 2015 to 2024, using bibliometric analysis to analyze publication patterns, author productivity, and the impact of collaborative efforts. A total of 16,341 documents were analyzed, showing an impressive annual growth rate of 75.07% in scientific publications, with significant contributions coming from leading countries like China and Germany. The study draws attention to such key metrics as the average number of co-authors per document and international collaborations, thereby indicating a very global character of the digital transformation research. Another point made is the use of visualizations in tracking the trend of publications by individual authors, peaks of research activity, and the effect of publication age on citation metrics. The research demarcates the most relevant sources driving scholarly discourse by identifying core journals and conference proceedings. The findings seek to inform researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders about the digital transformation landscape, with a particular emphasis on its societal and economic implications.
