Abstract

This post examines the ECJ’s SRB case and the Commission’s Digital Omnibus proposal regarding the definition of personal data. It argues that while the ECJ’s narrowed definition runs into various practical issues, the Digital Omnibus drives EU data protection head-on into a wall.
