The increasing prominence of systematic reviews in the scientific landscape presents librarians with opportunities to co-create knowledge and advance scientific discovery as integral collaborators. Although medical librarians have traditionally led the charge in conducting systematic reviews, there is a growing trend of non-medical librarians from diverse disciplines demonstrating interest and expertise in systematic review methodology, expanding the scope and interdisciplinary applications of this research approach. This paper aims to introduce systematic reviews to non-medical librarians who are new to evidence synthesis, providing a practical overview of the methodology, processes, and best practices to facilitate successful integration of systematic reviews into their research and practice.
