Abstract

Dinuclear ruthenium complex [( p -cym)RuCl(μ-phpy)RuCl(tpy)](ClO 4 ) 2 with a unique combination of planar terpyridine and η 6 -arene moieties in a single molecular framework is developed and displays both covalent and non-covalent interaction with DNA.
