Wild medicinal plants are traditionally used to alleviate muscle pain and sleep disorders. Additionally, their essential oils serve various purposes, including as safe natural product constituents utilized for their antibacterial and antifungal agents. In this study, three herbs, namely Anthemis des champs “arvensis”, Achillea santolina, and Mentha Longifolia have been collected in Duhok city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and their volatile compounds were isolated via hydro-distillation technique. The isolated oils have been analyzed using GC-MS instrument and were subsequently tested against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Notably, the chemical constituents exhibited efficient results, by inhibiting the growth of bacteria.
