The entire distribution is computed of the conductance of a quantum dot connected to two electron reservoirs by leads with a single propagating mode, for arbitrary transmission probability \ensuremathΓ of the mode. The theory bridges the gap between previous work on ballistic leads (\ensuremathΓ=1) and on tunneling point contacts (\ensuremathΓ\ensuremath≪1).
