Abstract

A lattice generalization of the (b_1u⊕ b_2g)⊗ b_3u pseudo-Jahn-Teller model is analyzed within mean-field theory. Ferroelectric or antiferroelectric ground states are found for sufficiently large pseudo-Jahn-Teller coupling.
