Abstract

AIM: To examine the research trends, themes, and patterns related to climate change in nursing literature. DESIGN: Bibliometric analysis. METHODS: Data were obtained from the Web of Science database and analyzed using VOSviewer, Bibliometrix, and CiteSpace. RESULTS: Analysis of 216 publications revealed an increase in climate change research after 2015. The United States led in the number of publications and citations. The most prolific authors were Nicholas, P.K., Álvarez-Nieto, C., and Richardson, J. Bibliographic coupling identified five distinct research themes, while co-occurrence analysis revealed six prominent research clusters. CONCLUSIONS: This bibliometric analysis highlights the growing interest in climate change research in nursing but also identifies critical gaps in intervention studies and global collaboration. Addressing these gaps could enhance nursing's global response to climate change.
