Abstract

• Remotely sensed spectral traits quantify responses to heat in coastal Douglas-fir. • Red edge indices and PRI are sensitive to heat responses. • Red edge indices, PRI and GCC are sensitive to tree size. • Chlorophyll:carotenoid indices show phenological decline across the drought. • Results demonstrate potential of multispectral phenotyping of heat response.
