Abstract

We investigate the shadow cast by a rotating Bardeen black hole within the framework of asymptotically safe gravity. The null geodesics are analyzed using the Hamilton–Jacobi separability approach, allowing us to derive key shadow observables. We further examine the associated energy conditions to assess the physical viability of the spacetime. Our results indicate that increasing both the asymptotic safety parameter [Formula: see text] and the spin parameter [Formula: see text] leads to a reduction in the apparent shadow size along with enhanced distortion. The monopole charge [Formula: see text] is found to play a significant role in shaping the shadow geometry. In addition, we compute the corresponding energy emission rate and analyze its dependence on the asymptotic safety parameter. Finally, we constrain the shadow radius using observational bounds from the Event Horizon Telescope, providing potential astrophysical relevance to the model.
