Abstract Effect of substituting the deconvolved seismic trace into the standard recursion formula for the acoustic impedance. Linear inverse theory. Two methods by which the missing low-frequency information can be recovered. A linear programming construction algorithm, Fourier transform modeled as an autoregressive process. The missing high and low frequencies can be predicted from the band-limited reflectivity function by standard techniques.--Modified journal abstract.
