Bharathiar University is one of the esteemed university and most vibrant in\nTamil Nadu. The University was awarded "A" grade by the National Assessment and\nAccreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission and it has\nbeen ranked amongst top 50 Universities in India by the survey taken by the\nprominent English magazines India Today and The Week in 2013 respectively. The\npresent study has been undertaken to find out the impact of research produced\nand publication trends of the university during 2009 to 2018. The study merely\nfocuses on year-wise research output, citation impact at local and global\nlevel, prominent authors and their total output, top journals of publications,\ncollaborating countries, and most contributing departments of Bharathiar\nUniversity. The 10 years' publication data of the university indicate that a\ntotal of 3440 papers have been published from 2009 to 2018 receiving 38104\ncitations with h-index as 68. In addition to this scientographical mapping of\ndata is presented through graphs using VOS viewer software mapping technique.\n
