Finnegan’s book “Why do we quote?” is an entertaining non-fiction book garnished with citations of numerous individuals as well as quoting other sources. Its fluent writing manner is not giving any hint away just yet, but underneath lurks a seemingly boisterous spirit of research approaching questions without bias, wanting to go deeper. Being no scientific essay on citations, it is never indoctrinating, thus giving us ample material to ponder. A fascinating read not solely apted for fans of the “quotation marks”!
