Experimental mechanics traditionally uses tensile tests for material behavior characterization, the procedures for execution and the instruments for measuring are well documented and established, although this, image-based approaches grown in acceptance as alternative methodologies to retrieve measurements from this kind of tests, because image-based systems have the capability of global regions evaluation preserving tests’ space-temporal details for further analysis. The main problem of this kind of procedures is the computational cost together with complex configurations and higher costs for necessary hardware, despite the fact of require trained personnel to operate the systems.
