In many rural areas, the idea of reconnecting agriculture and food is emerging to foster more sustainable agri-food systems. In this text, we present the articulation between a current territorial dynamic aiming at the transition of the Mirecourt territory towards a sustainable agriculture, a healthy and local food to create jobs and the evolution of the systems designed on the experimental station of the INRA ASTER-Mirecourt unit. A strong animal and crops diversification has started in 2015 on this farm: a self-sufficient, autonomous system, under organic farming and mobilizing economies of scope between workshops is designed step by step to serve this territorial project. The design is partly open to citizens via shared work spaces. The experimental station offers a space for building and sharing innovative experiences with future project leaders
