Water resources are unevenly distributed across the globe because of the unequal distribution of rainfall in both time and space. The Ardi River basin is the least hydrogeologically investigated catchment, with a particular dearth of in-depth research on groundwater recharge and other groundwater studies. The study's objective was to evaluate and estimate the rate of groundwater recharge utilizing integrated techniques. Literature review, data collection, field survey and data analysis were used as methods for the study. Moreover, base flow separation, soil water balance, and chloride mass balance was employed for data analysis in the study. Thornthwaite and Mather's approach was also utilized to compute actual evapotranspiration, which was used as an input to calculate groundwater recharge using the soil water balance. By using soil water balance approach, the area's mean annual projected groundwater recharge value was found to be 526 mm/year. On the other hand, by using the base flow separation and chloride mass balancing approach, the mean annual inferred groundwater recharge yield was found to be 476.4 mm/yr and 247.1 mm/yr, respectively. The study was conducted using three different methods. The catchment has a complex geology including igneous-metamorphic rocks; as a result, the area should have further geological, hydrogeochemical and geophysical investigation for more advanced findings and results.
