Abstract

Health simulation is becoming predominant for so-called "high-risk" medical disciplines such as emergency medicine. Materiel and methods: A cross-sectional case-control study was carried out within the medical resuscitation service and the simulation center of the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax including a group of 5th year medical students during a training period. These students were assessed on their knowledge of CA resuscitation before and after simulation. Result: We included 28 students. The progression of scores from pre-test to post-test for all students was +11.3 points (+56.55%) and from post-test to post-post-test for group A was +1.65 points (+8.25%). There was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores (p< 0.001) and between post-test and post-post-test scores (p< 0.001). Conclusion: These first results were in favor of a generalization of this pedagogical strategy in faculties of medicine.
