Connect 4 is a solved game with a theoretical advantage for the first player, yet suboptimal play by player one can create opportunities for the second player to force a win. This paper introduces the Reverse Trap concept, focusing on small board configurations (4×4 and 5×5) to identify board states where player two can guarantee victory. A simple algorithm is presented to detect these traps, and key sequences are illustrated. This approach highlights second-player strategy, is easily verifiable, and offers a novel perspective on game theory in board games.
