Abstract: Research on the topic of women in the era of postmodernity is both significant and intricate. This article addresses the condition of women in two contrasting societal contexts: the underdeveloped society and the anti-rational, industrial-consumer society. In the underdeveloped society, governed by the law of the jungle or brute force, women are devalued, and their existence is disregarded. Conversely, in the industrial-consumer society, women are led to believe they are free and exercising autonomy, while in reality, they are constrained and unable to live as they desire. Based on the rise of social media, the concept of the "virtual woman" has emerged. This figure, too, is deprived of stability and security, living instead in a state of psychological turmoil. Furthermore, the Hobbesian law of force—enforced by rulers during wars—disregards the essence of humanity and the need to protect women, subjecting them to acts of brutality and aggression. This study aims to analyze the condition of women in postmodern societies through a socio-philosophical and cultural lens, striving to arrive at a logical and comprehensive understanding of their lived realities.
