Factors Affecting Women Participation in Leadership: In Addis Ketema Sub-City" is the study's stated purpose”.This study used a mixed-methods approach to better explore the issues. Women in various leadership roles were the target group. Random and purposive sampling techniques were employed by the researcher. Out of 360 populations, the researcher selected 190 responders. We used both primary and secondary data. Data is gathered using questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions. Percentage tables were used for descriptive analysis and discussion of the collected data. The research revealed that the Sub-city faces challenges, including deep-rooted gender stereotypes and societal expectations, limited access to education and economic resources, lack of mentorship and networking opportunities and political and institutional barriers. These obstacles impede the Sub-city’s ability to effectively engage women in leadership role. To address these challenges and improve women participation on leadership, the study recommends that the Sub-City in collaboration with NGO’s and other stakeholders should address societal norms and gender stereotypes, strengthen representation and political will, create networks of support and mentorship, broaden access to economic and educational possibilities, and boost self-esteem and awareness.
