Abstract

We investigate numerically Fano resonances excited in periodic arrays of\ndielectric, metallic and left-handed cylinders. Of particular interest are Fano\nresonances excited in the linear array of cylin- ders. We analyze spatial\ndistribution and symmetry of electromagnetic field and discuss the relation\nbetween observed Fano resonances and frequency spectra of two-dimensional\narrays of cylinders.\n
