Abstract

Abstract : This article seeks to analyze the Alleged justification of the British colonialism in India as seen in E M FORSTER'S A Passage to India (1924) and GEORGE ORWELL'S Burmese days (1934). The issue of the present work explores what the authors motivate to justify the British colonization in India throughout their novels. The purpose of the study is to shed light the colonial discourses used by Orwell and Forster to defend domination in India. This investigation runs on qualitative approach as research methodology. Consequently, its data have been collected and analyzed throughout reading of documents. The findings of this study are: The Justification of the British imperialist’s presence in India throughout the colonial Discourses, the neocolonial discourses from the both authors and the description of the natives as stereotypes.
