Abstract

The relativistic quark potential model (QPM) is developed for describingvector mesons and their leptonic decays. The new representation Salpeter equation for vector mesons is proposed. Studying the τ→ρν decay theexpression for ρ-meson leptonic decay constant fρ isobtained. It is shown that quark model describes on a satisfactory level both theconstant fρ and the masses of other charged vector mesons. Thevalues for the leptonic decay constants of K*,D*,D*s,B*,B*c mesons are predicted.
