Abstract

The sampling statistics of sound fields in reverberation rooms have been studied by means of a computer experiment based on the normal mode model. The formulation by this model excels previous analyses by the statistical model in its ability to show the effect of room absorption explicitly. The validity of the assumptions used by the statistical model has also been examined in this report.
