Abstract

For odd n we construct a path ρ_t\colon π₁(S) → SL(n,ℝ) of discrete, faithful and Zariski dense representations of a surface group such that ρ_t(π₁(S)) ⊂ SL(n,ℚ) for every t∈ ℚ.
