This meta-analysis examines the association between parental and child moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), with a focus on the moderating effects of parental and child gender. Given the increasing concern over childhood physical inactivity, understanding parental influences is critical for developing effective interventions. A systematic review of relevant studies was conducted following PRISMA guidelines, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the relationship between parental and child MVPA. The study explores developmental trends and potential gender differences in parental impact, providing insights for family-centered strategies to promote physical activity across different age groups. Findings from this analysis contribute to the broader understanding of how parental behaviors shape children's physical activity engagement.
