The main aim of this article is to highlight the value of group therapy in reducing the damage caused by consumption measures determining the degree of dependence, such as reduced control over use, impaired social functioning and risky consumption: these criteria indicate that the subject continues to consume despite the problems associated with this consumption, in particular the abandonment of usual activities, such as work, studies, family and leisure. The results obtained by the Arr-razi addictology department, although not very conclusive due to the frequent relapses of the cases selected, highlight a certain contribution to the reduction of symptoms and a greater commitment to change towards remission, as well as better communication with the entourage and greater motivation and adherence to the therapeutic project, which we observed in the subjects examined. It is therefore essential to integrate this therapeutic practice to improve the management of people with use, so that they are less prone to further relapses.
