The inverse problem of determining the order of the fractional Riemann-\nLiouville derivative with respect to time in the subdiusion equation with an\narbitrary positive self-adjoint operator having a discrete spectrum is\nconsidered. Using the classical Fourier method it is proved, that the value of\nthe norm jju(t)jj of the solution at axed time instance recovers uniquely the\norder of derivative. A list of examples is discussed, including a linear system\nof fractional dierential equations, dierential models with involution,\nfractional Sturm-Liouville operators, and many others.\n
