Abstract

For any A > 2, we construct solutions to the two-dimensional incompressible Euler equations on the torus \mathbbT2 whose vorticity gradient ∇ω grows exponentially in time: ‖∇ω(t, ⋅)‖L^∞ \gtrsim eAt, ∀ t ≥ 0.
