This is an annotated translation from Latin of "Experimenta coram societate\ninstituta in confirmationem theoriae pressionum quas latera canalis ab aqua\ntranfluente sustinet" in which Daniel Bernoulli describes six experiments\nconducted before the St. Petersburg Academy in 1729, in confirmation of his\ntheory dedicated to the motion of water through ducts, which contains the\ndevelopments that led to the relation between pressure and velocity in fluid\nflows, known as Bernoulli's principle.\n
