The goal of this research is to provide a mass of knowledge accumulated on the Digital Supply Chain (DSC) through an essay review of the literature and to offer possibilities to discover new avenues of related research. It provides data from scientific research on the Digital Supply Chain. In this literature review systematic, a set of 119 scientific articles on research in (DSC) were analyzed. It provides an assessment of research articles published between 2010 and 2021.The document notes the initiation of the phenomenon of the digitalization of the Supply Chain, mainly due to the emergence of Industry 4.0 and its related technologies. This research also indicated the other facets of the birth of the (DSC) in particular: conceptualization, technologies, characteristics, as well as the levers and obstacles to its adoption. In addition, based on the results, we believe that it is essential for researchers to employ empirical studies for the in-depth examination of the development of the phenomenon and to allow the construction of the theoretical foundations in the field of Digital Supply Chain. The implications of this study may enrich practitioners and researchers on a broader understanding of (DSC) through the work that is being conducted as well as the barriers that have been addressed. In addition, researchers will be able to conduct further theoretical and above all empirical research which allows the construction of a theory suitable for (DSC), still absent, in the field. The originality of this research is illustrated by the existence of few research attempts, which have synthesized the existing literature on (DSC). As well as presenting a collection of research relating to the last ten years and proposals to inform future research.
