Scientific knowledge on functional biodiversity and the interest of flowering strips are increasing, but practical results are not sufficiently accessible to farmers. Within the Muscari project, we aimed at sharing knowledge and practical information to stakeholders and farmers. Three flower mixtures were created by the project partners, and compared to other commercial mixtures, in 14 different sites in France. We performed botanical and entomological monitoring in order to characterize these mixtures and their performance in different configurations, and then to evaluate their services to the neighboring crops. The project thus resulted in an improved, inexpensive, sustainable mixture, which has been proposed to three seed companies for regional valorization.
