Hypothesis: There is currently no agreed-upon definition for RVI in patients undergoing ECMO support for respiratory failure. This has also led to limited data on interventions that can be beneficial in patients with RVI during ECMO support. Aim of the scoping review The aim of the scoping review is to systematically assess the quality and quantity of evidence pertaining: Definitions of RV injury during ECMO support for Resp. failure and severity assessment (of any etiology) RV-targeted interventions in patients with RVI during ECMO support.
