This article aims to analyze the deployment of neoliberal rationality in the discourses of the circular economy promoted by different governmental and business actors linked to the development of agrofuels in the province of Córdoba. For this, the article will be divided into three parts: first, we perform a background review where we identify discussions and analytical keys on the issue; second, we develop the presentation of the case (province of Córdoba) and the methodological proposal for this approach; finally, we expose the analysis of the content of discourses in various graphic media identifying thematic units that become the main themes of the narratives on the circular economy and the production of agrofuels. The analysis reveals three central concepts that are transversal to the emerging thematic units: ecological modernization, green grabbing and entrepreneur of themselves. These three concepts express the neoliberal rationality that is configured in the discourses on the energy transition through agrofuels with a circular economy approach.
