This article presents a comparative analysis of lactation curves and the ARIMA model in predicting milk productivity. Lactation curves are biologically based models that effectively describe natural variations in milk production and are suitable for long-term analysis. The ARIMA model, on the other hand, is a statistical approach designed for analyzing time series data and generating short-term forecasts. The article examines the advantages and limitations of both models and evaluates their applicability in different scenarios. Furthermore, the potential of combining lactation curves with the ARIMA model is explored as a promising solution to improve prediction accuracy. This study aims to provide a deeper understanding of scientific and practical approaches to predicting milk productivity.
