Abstract

Central venous catheters (CVCs) are vascular access devices that allow direct access to the bloodstream; their management and care is one of the main Nursing roles. A scoping review was conducted. The search was executed in different databases and one meta-search engine, as well as by the strategy of snowballing previously selected articles. We expected to explore the available evidence on nurses' knowledge, skills and attitudes in the management and care of CVCs.
